Some users had difficulty accessing The Straits Times' website, as well as other Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) sites, on Tuesday.

An SPH spokesman said the websites were experiencing technical problems.

This was due to vendor software and hardware issues.

The company's Information Technology Division was addressing the root cause of the problem with its IT vendors. The websites have since been operational.
