Some 100 clinics will operate at various times over the Chinese New Yew holiday, including 13 24-hour clinics, said the Health Ministry in a statement on Monday.
The public is advised to seek treatment at their general practitioner or 24-hour clinics for non-emergency situations such as vomiting, abdominal pain, minor burns and scalds and fever.
Members of the public should seek medical treatment at hospitals' Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments only for urgent and life-threatening emergencies such as chest pain, breathlessness and uncontrollable bleeding.
