SINGAPORE - A total of 92 suspected drug offenders were arrested in an 11-day islandwide operation and various drugs worth more than $18,000 seized, the Central Narcotics Bureau said in a news release on Friday (May 26).
The operation, which was supported by the Singapore Police Force, covered areas including Bedok, Bishan, Bukit Panjang, Hougang, Jurong, Punggol, Sengkang, Serangoon, Tampines, Woodlands and Yishun.
The drugs seized include about 226g of NPS (synthetic cannabis), 118g of Ice or methamphetamine, 48g of heroin, 309 Yaba tablets, nine Ecstasy tablets, small amounts of cannabis, ketamine, Erimin-5 tablets and four bottles of methadone.
In one of the cases, a 25-year-old Singaporean man was arrested at his home in Tampines Street 33 on May 16.
CNB officers seized about 32g of Ice, a digital weighing scale and various drug-smoking utensils from his home.
Investigations into the drug activities of all the suspects are ongoing.
