6 injured after multi-vehicle collision on Pan-Island Expressway

SINGAPORE - A multi-vehicle collision occurred on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on Saturday afternoon (Feb 17), resulting in six people being taken to hospital.

A compilation of dashboard camera footage posted on Facebook group Roads.sg showed a red car crashing into the rear of a dark blue car, before spinning into the next lane.

The dark blue car had stopped at the end of a long line of at least seven other vehicles.

In response to queries, the police said they were alerted to the accident involving four cars and a taxi on the PIE towards Changi Airport, near the Lornie Road exit, at about 4.35pm.

Two women and four men, aged between 24 and 55, were conscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
