SINGAPORE - Five people were taken to hospital following two separate accidents on the TPE on the morning of Nov 5.

At about 7.10am, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and police were alerted to an accident involving a car, a van and three motorcycles along the TPE towards Changi Airport, before the KPE exit. 

A 28-year-old male motorcyclist, a 21-year-old female motorcyclist and her 21-year-old male pillion rider were taken conscious to hospital.

At about 8.45am, SCDF and the police were alerted to a second accident, this time involving a lorry and a motorcycle, also along the TPE.

The accident occurred towards Changi Airport near the Seletar Link exit.

A 29-year-old male motorcyclist and his 32-year-old female pillion rider were taken conscious to the hospital.

A 39-year-old male lorry driver is assisting with investigations.

Police investigations into both accidents are ongoing.

In the first nine months of 2025, there were 7.4 per cent more traffic accidents resulting in injuries and fatalities than in the same period in 2024.

Motorcyclists continue to be over-represented in accidents, with figures for motorcyclists involved in accidents increasing by 7.8 per cent to 3,191, from 2,960.
