SINGAPORE – Four people were taken to hospital after an accident involving a lorry and three motorcycles on the AYE towards Tuas on the evening of June 5.
Three male motorcyclists and one female pillion rider, aged between 31 and 54, were taken conscious to the National University Hospital, according to police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
SCDF said it was alerted to the accident, which happened near the Benoi Road exit, at about 5.40pm that day.
In videos posted online, at least three ambulances can be seen at the site of the accident, with some road users and uniformed personnel providing assistance to a person lying on the ground.
The two rightmost lanes of the AYE near the accident site were also cordoned off with traffic cones.
Police investigations are ongoing.
