SINGAPORE - A 35-year-old woman was found dead at the foot of a condominium block in Tampines on Tuesday morning (May 1).

A man of the same age, who is believed to be the woman's husband, was found injured in a unit at Q Bay Residences.

He was taken in a semi-conscious state to Changi General Hospital, where he subsequently died of his injuries.

According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force, he had multiple wounds and the hospital was alerted to be on standby to receive him.

The police told The Straits Times they were alerted to a case of dispute at 3 Tampines Street 86 at 5.55am.

The woman was found lying motionless at the foot of a block. She was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

When The Straits Times went to the condominium on Tuesday afternoon, a neighbour who wanted to be known only as Mr Goh said he had not heard any commotion.

"When I woke up at around 9am, I saw a lot of police outside the unit, and there was a bit of blood on the floor," said Mr Goh, who lives across from the couple's unit.

He said the couple, who have a 12-year-old daughter, moved in more than a year ago, but kept to themselves.

"They never talked to anyone. I don't know what they worked as," he added.

A woman staying in the unit on the other side of the corridor said she was woken up by a man's voice shouting close to 6am.

The police have classified the case as unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.
