29 foreign workers injured in lorry collision in Lim Chu Kang

SINGAPORE - Two lorries collided in Lim Chu Kang on Thursday night, injuring 29 foreign workers.

The accident happened at about 10pm at the junction of Lorong Rusuk and Lim Chu Kang Road, near the cluster of Muslim, Christian and Chinese cemeteries.

It is understood that both lorries were sending workers back to the domitories nearby.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman said all workers were taken to the National University Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the Singapore General Hospital. Three of them were seriously injured, suffering head injuries.
