Bugis Junction turned into boogie junction yesterday as around 2,500 people turned up for a mass karaoke session.

SPH Radio's UFM100.3 station moved outdoors for a countdown of the top 10 Mandopop songs, continuing from the top 1,000 countdown, which started two weeks ago.

The songs were decided after 17 days of online voting from a pool of 1,500.

The top song, which was revealed at yesterday's event, was A Little Happiness by Hebe Tien of Taiwanese girl group S.H.E.

It was the theme song for the movie Our Times, a 2015 Taiwanese romance directed by Frankie Chen. A total of 6,000 listeners have voted online since song nominations began in February.
