25-year-old motorcyclist taken to hospital after being hit by car in Bedok

SINGAPORE - A 25-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Bedok on Friday (Feb 2).

The accident occurred along Bedok North Avenue 1, towards Bedok North Road at about 9.55am, the police told The Straits Times.

Footage of the accident sent in to citizen journalism site Stomp shows a black Mercedes making a right turn when it collides with a motorcycle that was travelling straight.

The driver whose car's dashboard camera captured the footage exclaims: "Didn't he see the motorcycle?"

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it received a call for ambulance assistance at 10am and dispatched an ambulance to Block 522, Bedok North Avenue 1.

The motorcyclist was taken conscious to Changi General Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
