A police operation in Geylang, which began on June 11 and ended early Wednesday morning, ended with 23 people being arrested for various offences such as drug offences, immigration offences, possession of contraband cigarettes and public gaming paraphernalia.

During the operation, checks were conducted on more than 130 persons. Of the 23 suspects, aged between 19 and 62, there were 21 men and two women.

The operation involved officers from the Bedok Police Division and other law enforcement agencies, including the Central Narcotics Bureau, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and Singapore Customs.
