SINGAPORE – Two men have been arrested after they allegedly attacked a 51-year-old man with a chopper near Sims Avenue on Aug 29.
The police, in a statement, said they received a call for assistance near Sims Avenue at 6.40am.
Early investigations found that the two men, aged 24 and 26, got into a dispute with the older man, and allegedly attacked him with a chopper.
The 51-year-old man sustained injuries and was taken conscious to the hospital.
The two men were arrested about five hours after the incident.
They are expected to be charged on Aug 30, and if found guilty, can be jailed for life or given a jail term of up to 15 years. They could also be fined or caned.
