SEVEN suspected drug offenders were arrested and more than 2kg of drugs - worth over $117,000 - were seized on Wednesday.

The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) revealed details of four operations carried out over 24 hours.

In a follow-up to an earlier case at Woodlands Checkpoint, CNB officers arrested two men and one woman at a flat in Punggol where they also recovered about 640g of heroin, a small amount of 'Ice' and cannabis, and more than S$32,000 cash. All three suspects are Singaporean and aged between 31 and 47.

The three other operations were carried out at Woodlands Checkpoint. Officers seized four bundles of cannabis from a motorbike's air filter box and arrested two Singaporean men aged 44 and 53. A follow-up raid on a taxi belonging to one of the suspects recovered a small packet of cannabis and drug-taking paraphernalia.

Meanwhilea 70-year-old Singaporean man was arrested after six small bundles of cannabis were found in his underwear and a 58-year-old male Malaysian was nabbed after ICA officers recovered a block of cannabis weighing about 480g under the driver's seat of his taxi.

Investigations into all the cases are ongoing.
