The new Woodlands Divisional Headquarters offers residents living in the northern part of Singapore greater convenience in accessing police services, as they will no longer have to travel far to get help on their cases. The 10-storey building in Woodlands Street 12 also has features like self-help kiosks and an automated drop box for lost and found items.

Following the crash of a Boeing 737 Max 8 in Ethiopia, Singapore has suspended the operation of all variants of the aircraft. The ban affects SilkAir, which has six of the jets, and four other airlines that operate the aircraft to Singapore. This is the second fatal crash involving the jets in less than five months.
