The Sir Stamford Raffles statue next to the Singapore River at Boat Quay looks like it is disappearing, thanks to some dark grey outdoor acrylic paint. The optical illusion was created with the help of local artist Teng Kai Wei in commemoration of the Singapore Bicentennial this year.

Private home prices dipped by 0.1 per cent quarter-on-quarter in the final three months of 2018. This is a reversal of the 0.5 per cent increase in the third quarter and the first quarterly decline since the second quarter of 2017.
