Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong arriving at Orchid Country Club for an appreciation dinner last night to thank the People's Action Party's candidates in Aljunied GRC and Hougang, and their volunteers in the recent general election.

The candidates are (from far left): Mr Victor Lye, Mr Chua Eng Leong, Mr Lee Hong Chuang, Mr K. Muralidharan Pillai, Mr Shamsul Kamar and Mr Yeo Guat Kwang. Also present was former PAP chairman Lim Boon Heng (behind Mr Yeo), who was adviser to the Aljunied GRC team. The PAP team in Aljunied GRC won 49.04 per cent of votes against the Workers' Party.

Mr Lee Hong Chuang won 42.34 per cent of the votes in Hougang. PM Lee thanked 750 grassroots activists, sponsors, supporters and volunteers in Aljunied and Hougang for their contributions in the lead-up to and during GE2015.
