Parliament: Tackling inequality on multiple fronts, from education to social support

In May last year, Education Minister Ong Ye Kung signalled the Government's commitment to tackling inequality when he described it as a "national priority".

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong also noted subsequently, at a dialogue last October, that preserving social mobility is even more important than reducing inequality, to ensure the country's poor are not left behind and lose hope of advancing.
