Singapore and Peru affirm warm ties

LIMA (Peru) • Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong called on Peruvian President Pedro Kuczynski on Friday, as they affirmed the warm friendship between their countries.

They discussed potential areas of cooperation between Singapore and Peru, regional and inter- national developments, and the expected outcomes of this weekend's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) forum's Economic Leaders' Meeting.

Mr Kuczynski took office in July this year, and Mr Lee congratulated him on his election as President.

Mr Lee also thanked Peru for its warm hospitality during its Apec chairmanship and invited President Kuczynski to visit Singapore soon.

Singapore and Peru have worked well together in international forums such as the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation and Apec.
