He is reportedly backing Pritam Singh but others could nominate him

Signs indicate that the Workers' Party's Mr Chen Show Mao has decided not to challenge Mr Pritam Singh for the party's top post tomorrow, paving the way for Mr Singh's ascendancy to secretary-general.

But this is not a foregone conclusion and may still change on the day of the party's leadership elections.
