Koh Poh Koon will speak in Parliament with passion and rigour, says Halimah

Speaker of Parliament Halimah Yacob said on Wednesday that each MP should speak up on their own area of concern, and that she believes PAP candidate Koh Poh Koon would do so with passion and rigour.

When asked, Madam Halimah did not want to comment WP's performance in Parliament, a topic that has been raised at several rallies so far. She did, however, address the WP claim that the Government was not doing enough to help the elderly

She said that in her time at the former Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, the Government had put in place many measures to enable the elderly to continue to live in their homes and familiar surroundings.

On the WP raising a controversy over town council management matters, Madam Halimah noted that the Prime Minister has already called for a review.

Madam Halimah was speaking to reporters after joining Dr Koh Poh Koon on a walkabout. She observed that he has connected well with residents in a short span of time.
