Quoting the lyrics from Liverpool football club's anthem You'll Never Walk Alone, Ms Lee Bee Wah (Nee Soon GRC) urged Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat and MPs to stay strong throughout the coronavirus crisis. "I won't sing. I can't and I don't want to empty this House," she said.

"Thank you very much," replied Speaker Tan Chuan-Jin, who is a Liverpool fan. Eagle-eyed netizens noted nevertheless that the club lost several matches after Sister Flower (Ms Lee's nickname) made her comment.
