About 30,000 public servants appointed as election officials, to undergo training


For the 2015 General Election, public servants were called up for training about 11 months before the polls were held.

SINGAPORE - The Elections Department (ELD) has appointed about 30,000 public officers as election officials and has called them up for training.

The Straits Times understands that they include officers from various ministries and statutory boards.
