Just a few years ago, junior college students researching the topic of climate change would have been directed by their teachers to a carefully curated list of readings, including their science textbooks, where they can generally trust the information to be accurate.
Now though, students are more likely to be asked to go online to conduct independent research, and many are likely to get lost in a maze of websites, blogs and forums all claiming to be "accurate and factual".
