Why May's Brexit deal deserves support

Mrs Theresa May has secured her Brexit withdrawal deal in Brussels, but Britain's political class stands ready to hurl it back in her face.

For months, politicians and pundits have given the Prime Minister a terrible battering. To hardcore Brexiters, she is "Theresa the appeaser" - the heir to Neville Chamberlain - who has betrayed Brexit by making too many concessions to the European Union. To hardcore Remainers, she is the "Maybot", robotically implementing a disastrous policy of exit from the EU.
