As someone who now qualifies as a senior citizen, I (Cynthia) recently found myself thinking about what growing old with my friends might look like.
We would live near one another, look out for one another, share meals and laugh about our creaking knees. For a while, some of us even joked about pooling our resources to create our own retirement enclave. It would not merely be bearable – it could be a blast, I thought to myself.
