When a judge collapsed suddenly

Each of us can be trained to respond in an emergency so that we can do our bit before emergency teams come to the rescue

About 10 years ago, a colleague collapsed at work. The colleague, a fellow judge, was midway through a court session when he felt unwell. He called for an adjournment, went back to his office and collapsed.

When I saw him in his room, he was on the floor, foaming at the mouth. I was stunned, not having dealt with similar situations before.
