We now know that the two most powerful men on earth – US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping – will meet at the Apec summit in end-October in South Korea
We also know that Mr Trump has accepted an invitation to travel to Beijing in early 2026 to meet Mr Xi again, where the bigger problems will predictably get some kind of fix or at least a Band-Aid.
