US-Russia reset is good for Asia

Asia will watch carefully to see whether Trump-Putin relationship will blossom further.

To hear it from sections of the American media, US President Donald Trump sold the store when he sat down last week for a summit meeting with his Russian counterpart, Mr Vladimir Putin.

That a substantial part of the meeting was a one-on-one, with only interpreters present, has added grist to the talk that Mr Putin has some sort of a handle on the real estate mogul turned politician.
