As the dust settles from

TikTok’s Congressional hearing

in Washington, United States lawmakers are set to move forward with a ban on the app in America.

This was a predictable outcome. It became apparent early in the five-hour public grilling of TikTok’s chief executive officer, Mr Chew Shou Zi, who withstood a barrage of questions and accusations from both Republicans and Democrats.
