Talk about good timing. Just a day after I decided to renovate and elder-proof my guest bathroom, a letter arrived saying my household qualified for a government scheme subsidising senior-friendly fittings.
When I renovated my house in 2019, I ran out of funds before I got to the small ground-floor bathroom. It was serviceable, if dated, so I left it as it was.
