News of a green corridor which will connect Singapore's three national gardens and the release of the environmental assessment report for the planned Cross Island MRT line have highlighted Singapore's green spaces recently.

The 11km Bukit Timah-Rochor Green Corridor will link Jurong Lake Garden, the Botanic Gardens and Gardens By The Bay. The first phase includes a 1.4km elevated park. Other stretches will incorporate the Rail Corridor as well as make use of the old Bukit Timah Railway Station.
