During the Before Times, or pre-pandemic days, my partner and I had decided to wait till I graduated from university and landed a full-time job before applying for a Housing Board flat. That would've been this year.
The average waiting period for Build-To-Order (BTO) flats was around three to four years then (around 2019). Our plan was to book a flat in 2021 - our fifth year together, when I am 24 years old and my partner, 29 - which would have been just nice for me to settle into my career and become financially stable, before getting married just as our BTO flat is ready, around 2023 to 2025.
