On a fine June day in London, I sit with a friend beside the Serpentine, the lake in Hyde Park. When I was a small child, my mother brought me here to watch swans swimming in the water and to visit the statue of Peter Pan in neighbouring Kensington Gardens.
I have come home to London, the place of my birth, for the summer months. When this time is over, I will return home to my adopted country, Singapore.
