"Be a man! Do the right thing!" - some may recognise this line from an early stand-up routine by Canadian comedian Russell Peters, about a shopkeeper who was trying to get him to buy a bag.

It's a good joke, one that makes me laugh even now, more than a decade after I first heard it.
