Inoculating citizens to recognise falsehoods is important to prevent the kind of collapse of truth seen in US, UK politics

In 2016, the world watched with astonishment as Mr Donald Trump accused US presidential election rival Hillary Clinton of operating a child sex ring in a pizza shop.

He also said that then President Barack Obama was not born in the United States, before claiming that it was Mrs Clinton who started this conspiracy theory.
