In 2016, the world watched with astonishment as Mr Donald Trump accused US presidential election rival Hillary Clinton of operating a child sex ring in a pizza shop.

He also said that then President Barack Obama was not born in the United States, before claiming that it was Mrs Clinton who started this conspiracy theory.
