It was heartening to read that new Prime Minister Lawrence Wong plans to rethink all assumptions, and consider how things might be done differently in Singapore.

In an interview on May 10,

days before he assumed the premiership on May 15, he told reporters: “We are prepared to re-examine all our assumptions and consider, under different circumstances, different societal expectations and needs – what might we do differently.”
