Jurong, where Dr Goh Keng Swee married industrial development and residential life, has become a fixture of Singapore's economic landscape. High-tech Punggol could also earn a name for itself by integrating spaces skilfully, including the natural features in the area.

To create a new benchmark for the future, the Punggol Digital District's (PDD) concept of an "exchange" of spaces must be supported by all its stakeholders. The PDD is a pilot project for what has been characterised as an "enterprise district" which is home to digital and cyber security industries. How well that concept is implemented will show whether the model can be applied to other areas later.
