Media restructuring: Review regulatory regime next?

The restructuring of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) and its media business (including The Straits Times) creates an opportunity to think hard about the place of the media in Singapore, question assumptions about its role, and put the entire sector on a more sustainable, sounder basis.

This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity that I hope will not be wasted.
