Lessons from Theresa May's failure

While she undoubtedly faced a massive challenge in delivering Brexit, she also made serious mistakes of her own. The next British PM will have to face a key leadership test that Mrs May failed.

LONDON • "All political lives end in failure," a British parliamentarian remarked more than half a century ago. That's not exactly true; some politicians - admittedly, very few - do leave office with their heads held high, by retiring before the electorate tires of them.

Still, failure - and one of tragic proportions - has certainly been the fate of Theresa May, the current British Prime Minister.
