The cries of alarm over reckless personal mobility device (PMD) riders - as distressed as the ones heard when a three-year-old girl was knocked over by a teen in Boon Lay - keep coming from The Straits Times Facebook readers, and rightly so.

This is because some riders, like that teen, remain defiant even after victims are left hurt and traumatised.
