In summit's wake, Seoul ponders unravelling of US alliance

The summit between United States President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was successful if measured by the fact that the leaders of two countries technically at war met for the first time to talk about peace.

But setting aside the historic significance of their meeting in Singapore and the show of amity between the two leaders, the outcome was disappointing and a source of worry for South Korea in particular.
