Pet owners often say it is the animal that chose them, not the other way around. So it was that Mun Zuk chose us the August evening in 2022 when he wandered to the front door of our Housing Board flat and meowed to be let in.
My husband and I dubbed him Mun Zuk after the porridge restaurant we had ordered dinner from, not knowing that the joke would stick, and so would the cat.
