I can read a book while eating mee pok. Can you?

When I was eight years old, I walked into a dustbin, which left me with a scar on my brow that I would later tell people I had acquired, like Harry Potter, through the power of love.

The first thing my mother said, upon charging into the clinic where the vice-principal had taken me to be stitched up, was: "She was reading, wasn't she?"
