When Jesseca Liu won Best Actress at the recent Star Awards for her standout role as the kind-hearted young mistress of a wealthy family in Emerald Hill – The Little Nyonya Story, many people remarked that her win was well deserved.
The 47-year-old, who has been in showbiz for 22 years, has come close on six previous occasions, including being nominated for her memorable role as an investigator of sex crimes in the 2024 drama Unforgivable.
