It is tempting to dismiss the current impeachment hearings against President Donald Trump in the United States as just political drama.

After all, they are already descending into the classic "he said, she said" tale, a complicated plot with many characters and numerous walk-in parts, exotic foreign leaders who may or may not be involved, countless memorandums that may or may not exist and tedious disputes over barely comprehensible government rules and regulations so typical of all Washington political scandals.
