This is part of the huge trail of litter left behind on May 21 morning at Tanjong Rhu Park Connector by the organisers of a marathon. Some of the rubbish was also seen in the nearby reservoir.

While sporting events are welcome, organisers and sponsors must be made accountable for lapses such as this. I hope the relevant authorities will take appropriate punitive action. Rahul Gupta
