We thank Goh Ying Sheng for his suggestions (Modify postbox and letterbox designs to accommodate small parcels, June 11).

Suggestions like these regarding physical adjustments to letterbox openings and postbox slots to enable posting of larger parcels represent some ideas SingPost is evaluating for the long-term evolution of our network.

As Goh pointed out, e-commerce and peer-to-peer transactions are growing in numbers. SingPost remains focused on adapting our services to support changing consumer habits.

Our present priority is the upcoming islandwide roll-out of SingPost@MyBlock, our letter and small parcel collection service from residential letterbox nests. The roll-out, to be completed by Sept 30, covers over 20,000 letterbox nests and aims to provide greater convenience for residents right at their doorstep.

In the coming months, we will closely monitor the adoption and take-up rates of the new initiative and seek feedback from the community. This data will be essential to help us understand user behaviour and assess the long-term viability of future network enhancements.

We appreciate the writer’s feedback as we continue to study ways to balance operational sustainability with accessible postal services.
