We thank Mr Gabriel Chia for his letter “ Move closer to a more integrated and patient-centric healthcare system
Within the SingHealth cluster, we are constantly looking into ways to enable a more seamless patient experience and enhance the integration of our services across our institutions. We will look into Mr Chia’s suggestion to assess its feasibility. There may be instances where specific tests need to be conducted at the institution where the consultation will take place, due to particular clinical requirements or the need for specialised equipment.
For general pre-consultation tests (such as blood tests), patients with appointments at different SingHealth institutions that fall within a short timeframe can already have their tests done at any of our institutions.
We encourage patients who face difficulties managing multiple appointments to speak with their healthcare teams about coordinating their care plans and test schedules.
We are appreciative of Mr Chia’s feedback as we continue to enhance our services to better serve our patients.
