I would like to congratulate Team Singapore’s para-athletes on their commendable performances at the ASEAN Para Games in Korat, Thailand.
Para-swimmer Toh Wei Soong’s achievement of winning 11 gold medals in 11 years since his first Games in 2015 is a remarkable testament to his consistency, resilience and dedication. His sustained excellence continues to inspire many.
Equally heartening were the performances of boccia athletes Aloysius Gan and Nurulasyiqah Mohd Taha, who each clinched individual gold medals before combining superbly to secure a mixed pair gold. Their composure, teamwork and mental strength under pressure exemplified sporting excellence.
Their successes, together with gold medal contributions by athletes such as Jovin Tan and Theresa Goh, reflect the collective strength, depth and unity of Team Singapore.
All the athletes who represented Singapore have done the nation proud and deserve recognition for their perseverance, discipline and fighting spirit.
Well done, Team Singapore.
