I read with interest the article “ From jobs to healthcare, range of issues to be raised by new batch of NMPs
I was encouraged to see that issues such as job security, skills upgrading and healthcare affordability would be raised.
These are concerns many of us face amid rising costs, workplace changes and an ageing population.
It is reassuring that the Nominated MPs (NMPs) intend to raise such everyday matters in Parliament.
I hope NMPs, despite not having constituents, will stay closely connected to the people on the ground, so that parliamentary debates reflect lived experiences.
Ultimately, the contributions of NMPs should make a meaningful difference in the lives of ordinary Singaporeans.
